1999 yılından beri dünyada fırtınalar estiren aksiyon oyunu: Counter - Strike. Dünyada en çok oynanan online oyun olan Counter- Strike’ın yeni versiyonu. Bu versiyonda kullanıcılara büyük kolaylıklar saÄŸlanmış. Artık bu dosyanın haricinde hiçbir dosyaya ihtiyacınız yok. Half-Life ile beraber gelmekte. Oyunun boyutu 379mb gibi büyük bir rakam olsa bile buna deÄŸecek kadar iyi. ÖrneÄŸin bu versiyonda Galil ve Famas adlı 2 adet tüfek ve Anti-Terorist timine Kalkan eklenmiÅŸ. Oyun Valve’nin hazırladığı steam adlı bir program üzerinden çalışmakta. Bu program oyunculara büyük derecede kolaylıklar saÄŸlamakta. ÖrneÄŸin istediÄŸiniz özellikleri yazıp internet üzerinden sunucuları bulabilirsiniz. Ayrıca içinde bulunan “Friends” özelliÄŸi ile oyun anında ve dışında listenizdeki online kiÅŸilerle icq kullanır gibi sohbet edebilirsiniz. Ayrıca oyun anında bile arkadaÅŸlarınızla konuÅŸabilirsiniz. Fakat en iyi özelliÄŸi oyun içinde ve dışında listenizdeki kiÅŸilerle tavla, satranç gibi oyunlar oynayabiliyorsunuz. Listenizdeki kiÅŸiler oyuna girdiklerinde program hangi sunucuda olduÄŸu gibi bilgileri size sunmakta. Ancak steam adlı program ilk sürümünde olduÄŸu için içinde bug ve hatalar bulunmakta. Tabii oyunun içinde de hatalar yok deÄŸil. Bu hatalar da yavaÅŸ yavaÅŸ giderilmekte. Steam programının otomatik güncelleme özelliÄŸi ile bu tür güncellemeler çok kolay gerçekleÅŸmekte… Ancak sunuculardaki yoÄŸunluk sebebiyle yavaÅŸlık da yaÅŸanabilmektedir. Bu versiyonu oynayabilmeniz için kesinlikle internet baÄŸlantınız olması gerekli. Network(Lan) üzerinden oyunlar için bile internete gereksinim duymakta. Ayrıca programa ileriki haftalarda bot özelliÄŸi de gelecek. Bu da otomatik güncelleme ile programa entegre edilecektir. Yani Lan üzerinden oynamak için bota ihtiyacınız kalmayacak. Programı ilk açtığınızda “Games” menüsünden Counter-Strike a çift tıklayın. Ä°lk açılışta “Preparing to play” adlı penecerede uzun bir süre bekleyecektir(Donanımınıza göre 30dk-10dk arası) ancak bu durum ilk açılış için geçerli.
